Guests arrived and were given a Story of Marcus Gavius Apicius publication. Together, we read about his life, focusing on the story of his journey to find the best shrimp in Africa.

We then moved on to De re coquinaria, the cookbook named after him, where we shared a honey cake recipe from the text and drank tea while discussing the stories.
